Removing TONS of trash - "Litter" ally!!

Each year, Butte Environmental Council teams up with the City of Chico, Butte County, and the Great Sierra River Cleanup to pull TONS of trash and recyclables out of our creeks and beloved park. Trash in our creeks pollutes the water and damages habitat. We need your help!  Scrounge up your work clothes, grab your boots, water bottle, and your friends to join us for the Cleanup! A post-event Volunteer Appreciation BBQ will be held at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Both events are open to all ages. All Volunteers must sign a waiver and volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian's signature. Must wear closed toed shoes to participate.

Interested in participating?

Pre-registered volunteers and Early birds will get a free t-shirt.  Specify your preferred shirt size on your registration!

All event participants must sign a waiver; youth under 18 require a parent or guardian's signature. Having waivers signed in advance (especially for teams) helps stream-line check-in.

Remember to wear sun protection, long pants, and sturdy shoes. Bring gloves and a water bottle. Water stations will be available.
