Removing TONS of trash - "Litter" ally!!

Each year, Butte Environmental Council teams up with the City of Chico, Butte County, and the Great Sierra River Cleanup to pull TONS of trash and recyclables out of our creeks and beloved park. Trash in our creeks pollutes the water and damages habitat. We need your help!  Scrounge up your work clothes, grab your boots, water bottle, and your friends to join us for the Cleanup! A post-event Volunteer Appreciation BBQ will be held at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. with burgers made by Madison Bear Garden. Both events are open to all ages. All Volunteers must sign a waiver and volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian's signature.

You can pre-register, or just show up Saturday morning, September 17, 2016!

Volunteers will check in at two locations:

All event participants must sign a waiver; youth under 18 require a parent or guardian's signature. Having waivers signed in advance (especially for teams) helps stream-line check-in.

Remember to wear sun protection, long pants, and sturdy shoes. Bring gloves and a water bottle. Water stations will be available.

Pre-registered volunteers and Early birds will get a free t-shirt.  Specify your preferred shirt size on your registration!

After the Cleanup: From 1:00PM to 3:00PM All volunteers are invited to come hang and relax at a free BBQ lunch provided by Madison Bear Garden, with beverages provided by Madison Bear Garden and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.! Vegetarian and vegan options available.

GROUPS:  Make it a fun day by inviting family, friends or coworkers to form a team!!
