Bidwell Park and Creeks of Chico Cleanup 2007Thanks to the energetic crowd of dedicated volunteers that spent Saturday, September 16th at Butte Environmental Council’s Bidwell Park and Creeks of Chico Cleanup 2007, we removed nearly 10,000 lbs. of trash and recyclables from Bidwell Park and Comanche, Little Chico, Big Chico, Lindo Channel, and Sycamore Creeks. We found refrigerators, mattresses, TVs, computers, car batteries, tires, and lots of glass beer bottles in our beautiful park and waterways. Here's a breakdown of what removed from Bidwell Park and Chico's creeks:

Nearly 150 volunteers toiled over four hours to make our wildlands healthy, enjoyable places for the community and our animal friends to dwell in.
