Fire Hazards

A fire hazard in the creek channel is generally limited to flammable household hazardous waste, Arundo donax invasion, or illicit drug production.  Any fire hazard present in the waterways can potentially harm wildlife, citizens, and property.  Please notify officials immediately if there is a fire hazard threatening a local waterway.

If the hazard is within the City of Chico limits, please report your concern using the City of Chico form.  If the encampment is on county unincorporated land, please use the Butte County form.  If you are unsure, please use this map to determine the jurisdiction of the area in question.
