AquAlliance is dedicated to protecting the waters and water-dependent resources of the northern Sacramento Valley and the greater Sacramento River watershed through education, research, and legal advocacy.

Altacal Audubon Society is a local chapter of the National Audubon Society dedicated to the enjoyment, study, and conservation of birds and their habitats in the northern Sacramento Valley region.

The American Lung Association works to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy, and research. The local office serves the northern California region.

The Associated Students Sustainability Affairs Council (SAC) consists of students, staff, faculty, and community members who all work to increase the Associated Students (AS), university, and community commitment to sustainability. This is achieved through influencing AS policies and campus advocacy. We aim to educate, empower, and advocate on behalf of students about sustainability-related issues. Overall, the SAC will improve the synergistic relationships between the three aspects of sustainability: economic, environmental, and social.

Bidwell Wildlife Rehabilitation Center provides care and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned native wildlife with the goal of releasing healthy animals back into their natural habitats. They also offer public education on local wildlife and how to coexist with it.

The Bidwell Park Foundation supports the preservation, enhancement, and stewardship of Bidwell Park through fundraising, volunteer efforts, and community engagement to ensure the park remains a treasured resource for future generations.

The Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve is a protected natural area managed to conserve the biodiversity, water quality, and ecological integrity of the Big Chico Creek watershed, and serves as a living laboratory for research and environmental education.

The Butte Creek Watershed Conservancy was established to protect, restore, and enhance the cultural, economic, and ecological heritage of the Butte Creek Watershed through cooperative landowner action.

Our vision for Butte County is to create a strong local food system as the basis of a strong local economy, anchored in a healthy community that thrives on neighbors helping neighbors.

The Butte Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals in Butte County. They provide shelter, adoption services, and humane education to promote compassion and responsible care for animals in the community.

The California Conservation Corps is a state agency that engages young adults in hands-on environmental conservation and restoration projects, providing meaningful work experience and job training while benefiting California’s natural resources.

Originally formed in 1965 in the East Bay region, the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is a statewide non-profit organization of amateurs and professionals with a common interest in California’s native plants. Our nearly 10,000 members work to promote native plant appreciation, research, education, and conservation through our five statewide programs and 34 regional chapters in California. Through membership in CNPS, Californians of all walks of life are able to support and engage in opportunities to experience and learn about native plants and their habitats, gardening and landscaping with native plants, restoration of habitat areas, and conservation issues throughout the state.

The Mount Lassen Chapter of the California Native Plant Society serves the northeastern Sacramento Valley and surrounding foothills, promoting the appreciation, study, and conservation of California’s native plants through local programs, field trips, and advocacy.

The California Sportfishing Protection Alliance is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting and restoring California’s fisheries and aquatic ecosystems through advocacy, public education, and participation in regulatory and legislative processes.

The California Wildlife Foundation works to conserve California’s native wildlife and natural heritage, with a particular focus through the California Oaks program on protecting and restoring the state’s oak woodland ecosystems.

The California Wilderness Coalition (CalWild) protects and restores the state’s wildest natural landscapes and watersheds on public lands. These important wild places provide clean air and water, refuges for wildlife, and outstanding opportunities for recreation and spiritual renewal for people. CalWild is the only statewide organization dedicated solely to protecting and restoring the wild places and native biodiversity of California’s public lands.

Chico Creek Nature Center is the interpretive center for Bidwell Park. Programs feature nature walks and a Live-Animal/Living History Museum designed to encourage responsible interaction with the environment.

Chico Natural Foods Cooperative is a member-owned grocery cooperative offering natural, organic, and locally sourced foods and products, committed to supporting sustainable agriculture, community health, and the local economy.

The Chico Peace & Justice Center works to promote peace, social justice, and environmental sustainability through education, community organizing, and nonviolent action on local, national, and global issues.

Our sponsors, organized rides, and membership dues help us to advocate for all cyclists in Northern California and beyond. We represent your interests within organizations such as the Chico Bike Advisory Committee, BCAG Transportation Advisory Committee, Chico Parking Access Resource Committee, and the California Bicycle Coalition. We develop and implement programs and work with other local organizations like the Butte Bicycle Coalition, Chico Cyclist Care Fund, and the Butte Environmental Council to educate our community about bicycling and support local cyclists.

Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE) is a student-run volunteer organization at CSU Chico that connects students with service opportunities throughout the Chico community, fostering civic engagement and personal growth through hands-on involvement.

Friends of Bidwell Park (FOBP) is a park advocacy, non-profit organization formed in April of 2003. FOBP received its IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit designation in January 2004. Our focus is on preserving and protecting the natural resources of Bidwell Park, increasing community outreach that provides education and information about the park and its resources, as well as providing park volunteer opportunities.

The Friends of Butte Creek work to protect, restore, and enhance the natural habitats of wildlife in the Butte Creek Watershed.

Friends of the River is California’s leading river conservation organization, dedicated to protecting and restoring the state’s rivers, streams, and watersheds through advocacy, education, and community outreach.

Friends of Plumas Wilderness works to protect and preserve the wild lands, forests, and watersheds of Plumas County through advocacy, monitoring, and public education about the ecological and recreational values of the region’s wilderness areas.

Butte County’s Habitat for Humanity affiliate builds and repairs affordable homes in partnership with families in need, helping to create stable, decent housing and stronger communities throughout the region.

The Mill Creek Conservancy is a 501C 3 non-profit corporation formed in 1994 by local landowners, members of the local community, and others committed to preserving the Mill Creek Watershed for future generations.

The Nature Conservancy is a global conservation organization dedicated to protecting lands, waters, and wildlife through science-based environmental solutions.

The Northern California Regional Land Trust is a non-profit organization that assists landowners and public agencies in the voluntary protection and conservation of land and other natural resources. We recognize that conservation of our working and wild land resources is essential to our region’s quality of life for generations to come.

At River Partners, we recognize that all of our on-the-ground projects have next-door neighbors and have the potential to affect local communities. Through scientific planning, communication with our neighbors, and careful implementation, our restoration projects balance the needs of wildlife and humans and bring value to California’s communities.

The Sacramento River Watershed Program works to protect and enhance the ecological health of the Sacramento River and its tributaries by coordinating conservation efforts among landowners, agencies, and community partners throughout the watershed.

The Sierra Nevada Forest Protection Campaign advocates for the conservation and ecologically sound management of Sierra Nevada forests, working to protect old-growth trees, wildlife habitat, and watershed health on public forest lands.

The Blue Oak Group is the local chapter of the Sierra Club serving Butte and Glenn counties, working to protect wild places and advocate for sound environmental policies through outings, education, and grassroots activism.

530 Food Rescue works to reduce food waste and fight hunger in Butte County by rescuing surplus food from local businesses and distributing it to those in need, building a stronger and more food-secure community.
