Fire Hazards

Threats to fire safety are commonly referred to as fire hazards. A fire hazard may include a situation that increases the likelihood of a fire or may impede escape in the event a fire occurs. Fire hazards you should report in the City of Chico include, but are not limited to: chemicals, spray painting, welding, combustible dusts, flammable liquids, and tall/dry grasses.

If you see signs of fire including smoke or flames in Bidwell Park or elsewhere in Chico, call 911 immediately.

For concerns about fire hazards in Bidwell Park or local green ways, you can call the City of Chico Parks Department at (530) 894-4200 Monday-Friday form 8 AM to 5 PM.

If the fire hazard you observe is on private property, you can call the City of Chico Code Enforcement Division at (530) 879-6330 or send a direct report through the webform below.
