The BEC Executive Director is the chief administrator for BEC, and works closely with the Board of Directors to meet the mission of the organization, execute the strategic plan, ensure a robust financial capacity, and otherwise to manage the staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the nonprofit organization and the regional environmental community.
BEC is a host site for the California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) Fellowship. CCAC places fellows with host partners throughout the state. Fellows serve 1,700 hours over an 11-month term to mobilize their communities through climate volunteer engagement, climate action and education projects focused on urban greening, organic waste and edible food recovery, and wildfire resiliency.
